Welcome to ILMI. These Terms ("Terms") govern your use of the ILMI study platform at www.ilmi.ma ("Service"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use ILMI.
The short version: ILMI is a study tool for university students. You upload your own notes and shared class materials. We use AI to help you study them. Don't upload pirated textbooks. Don't share your account. We can take stuff down if a professor objects. We're not responsible if you fail your exam.
1. Who can use ILMI
You must be:
At least 18 years old
A current student at a Moroccan university, primarily Université Cadi Ayyad / FLSH Marrakech
Able to enter a binding contract under Moroccan law
You're responsible for keeping your password secret. If someone uses your account, that's on you.
2. What ILMI is — and what it isn't
ILMI is a software tool that uses Artificial Intelligence to help students study from materials they upload. Think of it as a private tutor who has read everything in your course folder.
ILMI is not:
A replacement for attending class or doing your own reading
An official study aid endorsed by your university (unless explicitly stated)
A guarantee that you'll pass any exam
A source of legal, medical, or financial advice
3. Course materials and uploads
This is the part that matters most. Read it carefully.
3.1 What you upload
You may upload to ILMI:
Your own notes, summaries, and writing
Lecture slides or handouts that your professor distributed to you for class use
Past exams (annales) made available to students
Any document you have a legitimate right to use for your studies
3.2 What you may NOT upload
Published textbooks or copyrighted books you do not own digital rights to
Materials marked confidential or "do not distribute" by the professor
Personal information about other students without their consent
Anything obscene, illegal, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights
Files containing malware
3.3 Your responsibility
By uploading, you confirm that:
You have the right to upload the material
The material was given to you for educational use, or you wrote it yourself
You're not violating anyone's copyright knowingly
You retain ownership of anything you upload. You grant ILMI a non-exclusive, group-scoped license to process and serve the file to only the students in your specific group at your specific university for educational purposes.
3.4 Takedown rights
If a professor or rightsholder believes a file should not be on ILMI, we will remove it within 48 hours of receiving a takedown request at legal@ilmi.ma. No questions, no fight. See our Takedown Policy for details.
4. AI-generated content
ILMI uses Large Language Models (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) to generate explanations, quizzes, and summaries. These models can make mistakes. ILMI may:
Hallucinate facts that aren't in your materials
Misquote or paraphrase incorrectly
Give pedagogically suboptimal answers
Always verify ILMI's output against your professor's actual materials before relying on it for an exam. ILMI is a study aid, not an oracle.
Where ILMI quotes or paraphrases material, those quotes are the words of the original author, not statements by ILMI. Don't attribute AI-generated text to your professor as if they said it.
5. Subscription and payment
ILMI offers a Free tier and a Premium tier (currently 59 MAD / month).
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Profile page
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle — no refunds for partial months
Prices may change with 30 days' written notice
Payments are processed by third-party providers; we don't store your card numbers
If you dispute a charge, please email hello@ilmi.ma first before involving your bank — we'll usually resolve it in 48 hours.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use ILMI to:
Cheat on graded exams (using ILMI during an exam, on graded take-home work without permission, etc.)
Generate content that's hateful, harassing, illegal, or harmful
Reverse-engineer or scrape the platform
Resell access or share your account with others
Probe for security vulnerabilities (with the exception of responsible disclosure to security@ilmi.ma)
We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
7. Data and privacy
We process your data according to our Privacy Policy, which describes what we collect, why, and how to request deletion. ILMI complies with Moroccan data protection law (loi 09-08) and is registered with the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel).
8. Disclaimers and limits of liability
ILMI is provided "as is". We don't promise it'll always work, or that it'll help you pass any specific exam. To the maximum extent permitted by Moroccan law:
We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
We don't warrant that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or fit for any specific purpose
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms. On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days (see Privacy Policy).
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email and post a notice in the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Moroccan law. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Marrakech, Morocco. Before suing, we both agree to attempt good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days.
